奄美海洋展示館とは

奄美海洋展示館は、奄美大島にある奄美市大浜海洋公園の中にある施設です。この奄美市大浜海洋公園は、奄美大島の名瀬から車で２０分から３０分のところに位置しています。この奄美海洋展示館は、奄美大島近海の海の生物を中心に展示しています。とくに人気なのがウミガメです。海洋展示館の中にある水深５メートルの巨大水槽の中では、のびのびと泳いでいるウミガメを見ることが出来ます。このウミガメは２階の浜辺のような場所で触ったりエサをあげることも出来ます。他にも巨大水槽の中には南国らしい色とりどりの熱帯魚やサメなども見ることが出来ます。他にも奄美で取れたさまざまな貝殻267種類を展示してあったり、奄美の海辺で漁をする様子、サンゴ礁についての展示があるなど、奄美大島近海の生物や様子を見ることが出来ます。
