    Snorkeling can be enjoyed at any time of the year on Amami Oshima Island. Water temperature is20°C (68°F)The weather is typical of the southern islands before and after, so it is not as stressful as it sounds. In winter, wetsuits are available for rent depending on the plan.

    The period from late June to mid-July is the spawning season for sea turtles, which increases the encounter rate. November and December are also recommended as there are relatively few tourists.

    I was able to swim with sea turtles. It is not easy to record what happens when you are diving, but they took a video and sent it to me early in the evening of the day I joined the tour. I was very happy with the wonderful video that showed the beauty of the sea. I thought the guide was very kind and full of enthusiasm to let us fully experience nature through the activity.
