I took part in a walking tour of the Kinzakuhara Primeval Forest on Amami Oshima. I appreciated that transportation was provided from the Naze area, which made it easy to participate without any travel hassles. The explanations from the certified guide were extremely interesting, and I was able to gain a deep understanding of the formation of this ancient forest—a World Heritage Site—as well as its flora and fauna. I was able to experience scenery that was even more breathtaking than I had imagined, and I am very satisfied with the tour.

The endless green arches and the mystical atmosphere of the ancient forest truly cleansed my soul... As I walked along listening to the certified guide’s stories, it felt as if the fatigue of everyday life was gently melting away into the forest... It was a truly blissful and healing experience.

The facilities were great. The included shuttle service from the Naze area eliminated any wasted travel time, allowing us to efficiently enjoy our walk through the Kinzakuhara Primeval Forest. I was very satisfied with the certified guide’s insightful commentary.

I think this tour offers great value for money as a way to learn about the precious natural environment of the Kinzakuhara Primeval Forest with a certified guide. The included round-trip transportation from the Naze area was also very convenient. However, since the tour involves a long walk on unpaved roads, it would have been even better if there had been a clear advance notice recommending participants wear comfortable, well-worn sneakers or similar footwear. Overall, I’m satisfied.

Overall, it was good. The only disappointing thing was that I didn't get to see many animals, like the blue jay. But since you're dealing with nature, I guess that's just how it goes.

The Kinzakuhara Primeval Forest is absolutely amazing!! There are so many huge plants—it’s just like Jurassic Park—and I was totally blown away. I could really feel the power of nature and just went wild with excitement!!! The shuttle service from Naze makes getting there a breeze, so you should definitely go!!!

I signed up for this tour because I wanted my child to see the natural beauty of a World Heritage Site. My child’s eyes lit up at the sight of the primeval forest-like scenery, and both my child and I were completely engrossed in the certified guide’s clear and easy-to-understand explanations. The included transportation made getting around easy, but since there were some spots in the forest where the ground was a bit uneven, I would have appreciated it if the advance notice about wearing comfortable walking shoes for children had been a bit more prominent.

The Kinzakuhara Primeval Forest was full of photo spots that looked great no matter where I pointed my camera—I just couldn’t stop taking pictures! Our guide taught us the names and characteristics of the plants, so it wasn’t just a walk—I learned so much☆ It felt like a primeval forest, and I took lots of mystical photos—I was completely satisfied with the tour♪

The scenery at the Kinzakuhara Primeval Forest was just as I’d imagined—not bad at all. The tour was educational thanks to the commentary from the certified guide. However, there were a few delays while waiting for transportation arrangements, which made the whole experience feel a bit drawn out. I’d say it was worth the price.

Although we were participating with a young child, the guide adjusted the pace to match our child’s stride, so we were able to enjoy the walk all the way to the end. Our child’s eyes lit up at the sight of the giant ferns, and we made some wonderful family memories.

Since I was traveling alone, I was a little nervous at first, but the certified guide chatted with me in a friendly manner the entire way, so I never had a moment to feel lonely. The primeval forest, overgrown with massive Hikagehego trees so tall you have to look up to see the tops, is far more majestic and awe-inspiring in person than in any photo. I was also very grateful that the round-trip transportation was included, which eliminated any travel stress.

Although we were traveling with a young child, the guide adjusted the pace to match our stride and led us slowly, so we were able to enjoy the virgin forest without any difficulty. Every time we spotted a rare lizard or a beautiful butterfly, our child was overjoyed, and we made another cherished family memory.

At first I was worried if I could walk all the way, but my children were so intrigued by the large plants that they were able to walk all the way to the end!
