Amami Oshima Sightseeing Free Plan

The tour was cancelled due to a typhoon, so I asked the tour guide to pick me up from my hotel, which was far away. He also told me about the origin of the towns along the way, which helped me to get to know Amami better. She also took us to places that we had not requested, and I thought she was very kind. I highly recommend this tour to those who do not have a car and who want to know more about Amami! Thank you very much.

It was great to be able to freely decide where to go. The local guide took us to some spectacular non-touristy spots, which made the trip much more intense.

We were unable to rent a car and this individual tour was a great help. We were able to visit the highlights in a reasonable amount of time and listen to the knowledgeable stories of the tour guides. We were also able to experience nature by learning how to recognize the sprouts of the long-life grass! I took them home and made tempura! Thank you very much.

I liked that the local guide gave us a thorough tour with explanations, rather than just "sightseeing a few places and that's it. Since it was a private tour, I could go around at my own pace and take lots of pictures.

It was my first visit to Amami Oshima, so there were no regular sightseeing buses, I am not good at renting a car, and I thought it would be difficult to adjust the time for the bus. It was a short trip, but it was worthwhile. I am very grateful for your thoughtfulness 😀.

It was the last day of my stay in Amami. We decided to take a one-day private tour by car as something we could do while wearing airplane clothes. The guide who said, "I was going to come by jeep, but it looked like it was going to rain, so I decided not to," was the same person who had taken care of us on the night tour the night before. He was a bit reckless in responding to our requests: "I didn't go to the south, so I want to go to the south," and "I wanted to see the view from the top since I had experienced so much from the sea and the river." He knew everything about Amami, including biology, geography, and history, and if you asked him about it, he would give you an answer, making it a "learning tour" that combined experience and knowledge.
