What is "Otoko wa Tsuraiyo" movie location?

Otoko wa Tsuraiyo Tora Jiro Beni no Hana" (The Tiger's Tale: Tora Jiro Red Flower), the final film in the Tora-san series, was filmed mostly on Amami-Oshima Island.

Kiyoshi Atsumi, a famous actor of the Showa eraKuruma Torajiro's FootstepsAlthough it has been more than 20 years since the series ended, there are still many people who go on pilgrimages to sacred places.

Since filming took place on location on almost the entire island of Kakaroma, monuments commemorating the filming have been erected at six locations.

It is not easy to get to some of these places without a car, but I would say that they are a must-see for fans. There are six locations: Eosai, Srihama, Tokuhama, Sesato, Seso, and Moronaku.

This Lily's House in Uchimoronaka was renovated in 2017 to start as one of two accommodations on Kakaroma Island.
