It was a hot day, but the water was slightly cool and pleasant. Because of the low tide, we stayed in the canoe and explored on foot. There were parts of the marsh that were so soft that we hesitated to go ashore without a guide, and it was a valuable and interesting experience to walk through the marsh where our feet sank. After being introduced to the small creatures of the wetlands (gobies and shiomanski), we strolled through the mangrove forest while the guide explained the leaves, roots, and seeds of the mangroves. During the walk and canoeing, the guide also spotted Ryukyu jays and kingfishers and told us about them. Listening to the explanation of the creatures and the climate (the role of typhoons, etc.), I felt very close to the cycles of nature as we strolled. Also, the guide took a lot of pictures, which was a good souvenir.
