What is a "humpback whale"?

Humpback whales can reach 15 meters in size, and the various performances they show us at sea are spectacular. Furthermore, it is sure to be impressive to see them as parents and children, couples, and groups of whales swimming together.

(i)		Meeting / Registration ➡︎We use two different ports depending on the wind and sea conditions. The port and time to meet will be decided the day before depending on the sea conditions forecast.
two (used in legal documents)		before departure ➡︎ After listening to an explanation of whale biology and the ship's interior, and donning life jackets, we will set sail.
(iii)		Blow] This is a whale's breath. Cruise around looking for this blow.
4)		Bleaching] It is the most powerful action. *Not an action that can be seen every day at any time.
5)		[Pectoral slap] This action is the slapping of the pectoral fins against the surface of the water. It is said to be done when the fish is relaxed.
6)		End of tour / Disembarkation and disembarkation

Q. What is the encounter rate for whale watching?

The encounter rate in 2024 is 901 TP3T.
Whales are natural creatures, so whether or not you will see them depends on your luck, but a one-day plan is more likely than a half-day plan.

Q. What is the difference between the two?My transportation will be by local bus. Where is the nearest bus stop?

The port where we will meet will be decided the day before the tour, taking into consideration the wind direction and other factors. （The ports are Ashitoku Fishing Port or Ushuku Fishing Port.
The nearest bus stop to Ashitoku Fishing Port is Akaogi Post Office Mae,
The nearest bus stop to Ujuku Fishing Port is Manya.

Q. What should I wear on the day of the event?

When out at sea, the temperature on board is lower than that on land due to the sea breeze, so heavy clothing is recommended.
Also, avoid footwear that is unstable underfoot, as it may lead to falls and other injuries. Sneakers with flat soles are recommended.

Q. Will I get seasick?

The ship is resistant to turbulence, and those who are concerned about seasickness can participate without worry; however, those who are worried about seasickness are advised to take anti-sickness medicine before boarding the ship.
Please get enough sleep the day before and do not overeat or drink too much.

It was a dream come true to be able to see a whale jump up close! The sight of the 15-meter giant leaping out of the water was so powerful that everyone on the boat was very excited!
