What is Funakoshi Beach?
Funakoshi Beach is an incredibly remote beach from Naze, and because of its inconvenient accessibility, it is empty at certain times of the year. Conversely, you can enjoy the luxury of having the open, shiny white sand beach and the clear blue ocean all to yourself.
The high transparency of the water allows visitors to enjoy viewing coral and tropical fish in the water,In the middle of the beach is a cave called "Shamisen CaveThe area is also home to a large number of coral reefs. At low tide, the entire ocean is covered with coral reefs, creating a different kind of scenery. Since the area is usually submerged under water, this is the only time you can experience walking on the sea.
Access to Funakoshi Beach takes about one and a half hours by car from Naze Port. There is a free parking lot where up to 6 cars can be parked. Shower and toilet facilities are also available free of charge.
