It was a full-day tour, and I was worried about my stamina since I’d been feeling pretty tired lately, but it turned out to be no problem at all. We had a good lunch break, plenty of time to shower, and plenty of time to spare—it was great. I got to see the sea turtles up close—closer than I expected—and since we entered the water from the beach, it felt safe. The mangrove forest at sunset was also lovely, with a refreshing breeze blowing through from time to time.

My first trip to Amami Oshima. The weather forecast had me worried about the typhoon, but after some rain first thing in the morning, it cleared up completely! The female guide who showed us around all day gave us very clear and detailed explanations. The chicken rice restaurant she recommended for lunch was absolutely delicious!! From the mangroves to the sea turtles, it was truly an amazing day!!

In the morning, we went on a mangrove canoe tour, and in the afternoon, we explored the Kinzakuhara Primeval Forest. We were blessed with good weather and were able to spend the day leisurely enjoying the natural beauty that Amami is known for. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the local flora, and his explanations were both easy to understand and fascinating. Thank you very much for your thoughtful guidance.

Playing in the waterfall from a mangrove canoe was absolutely amazing!! Paddling through the great outdoors was so much fun, and we had a blast splashing around in that mystical waterfall!!! You even get free photos, so if you come to Amami, you absolutely have to check this out!!!
