It was well worth the price! It was my first time snorkeling and exploring the mangroves, and I think it will remain as one of the strongest memories in my life. I am writing this because I would like to share this experience with everyone. It was raining on the day of our plan. It was raining quite a bit from the morning and there was wind, and the store was going to go ahead, but we could not go to the point where we could see sea turtles, so we snorkeled in shallow water where we could see coral, and we were informed that we might have to cancel in the middle of the trip. We were asked if we could cancel the tour, but what would we do? I was asked if I could cancel the tour, but I could not make up my mind, so I hung up the phone once. After much deliberation, I decided to go ahead and attend the event. My 8-year-old (3rd grade) child and I had never snorkeled before, so I wondered if he would be able to do it in the rough sea, and I was a little scared myself... but when we got there, the rain had stopped and the sea was relatively calm. The sea was relatively calm and the water was clear and beautiful, although a little bit muddy! There were lots of fish, and since we were the only family in the group, the instructor was very attentive to the kids, so the adults were able to enjoy the underwater experience. We were also lucky enough to see a sea turtle near the end! We were thrilled to see the sea turtles we wanted to see. We had a delicious lunch of chicken rice at a nice izakaya (Japanese style pub) and went exploring in the mangroves. The rain had stopped there as well, and we were able to have a relaxing and leisurely canoeing experience. I was always worried that the canoe might capsize, but I got the hang of it and enjoyed the mangroves. The instructor was very well organized throughout the entire experience and was not rushed, and I can only thank him for being so kind to my child. The conversation in the car was also very natural and I had a good feeling about it. The snorkeling was so great that I could have stayed underwater for hours. I loved the cute fish, coral, and sea creatures. When I got out of the water, I was surprisingly tired and heavy, but I enjoyed it very much. I am so glad that I believed the information that the weather on the island is changeable and did not cancel the tour! Thank you so much for giving us the best Amami Oshima experience. I would definitely like to do it again!

The guide was kind and we got along well with the other tourists who accompanied us and enjoyed the tour to the fullest. Since all of the tour group members were in their 50s or older, I think the guide was able to adjust the tour schedule to our physical fitness level. The tour was even more meaningful than the tour experience because the guide provided us with almost secret information about the history and background of Amami Oshima and how to interact with the local people after they moved to the island.

The guide explained the tour in great detail, and although I was worried about the weather as it was raining a little, he assured me that it would be fine and that it was a comfortable day without being terribly rainy. It was also good to hear him talk in detail about protecting the nature of Amami, including about stray cats, However, it was a pity that I could not hear what he said when we were moving by car because I was sitting in the back of the car.

I joined the tour alone. I had no plan but just wanted to see the ocean, but the guide showed me many wonderful sights. The guide showed me many wonderful sceneries. The guide took us to places that were not listed in the guidebooks, and more importantly, he was so experienced that he explained a lot of things to us. It was like a sightseeing tour plus a social studies tour, which made Amami more interesting. I really recommend the private tour!
