請島とは

請島は奄美群島の有人島の中では与路島に続く二番目の小さな面積の島です。
加計呂麻島の南に位置しており、古仁屋からの町営連絡船せとなみを使った場合には与路島より先に請島を経由するので一時間程度で到着します。
町営連絡船は外海を航海するため、波高が10mになると欠航する決まりがあります。このため欠航する頻度が比較的高めであるために注意が必要It is.
