フナンギョの滝とは

Amami Oshima壮大な景色を楽しむ上で忘れていけない観光スポットがあります。それがフナンギョの滝です。この滝は眺めるポイントから滝までの距離が少しあるため、簡単に滝に近づくことができません。ですがそのポイントから見るこの滝の眺めが絶品なのです。

森林に包まれた舗道を進むと、その周囲の緑がほんの少し途絶えた石橋。そこから上を眺めてみると森を切り分けるような滝の白糸が。美しいという言葉がピタリと合う景色がそこに存在しています。もちろん美しさだけではありません。フナンギョの滝の落差は約35ｍ。そして眺めるポイントの石橋からは滝を見上げることになるため、それ以上の高さを感じることになります。滝の持つ荘厳さも併せ持っているのです。
フナンギョの滝は、その景色を眺める石橋まで車で行くことができます。けれども駐車スペースに車を止めて、歩いて石橋まで向かうのがお薦めです。車で行くには道幅が狭いということもありますが、それ以上に立って仰ぎ見るフナンギョの滝を見逃すのはあまりにもったいないからです。
