肥後染色夢しぼりとは

肥後染色夢しぼりは、奄美大島の島の伝統、有名な大島紬、その中の泥染めという製法を体験出来る施設です。肥後染色夢しぼりの場所は、奄美空港から車で２０分、名瀬からも車で２０分ほどのところにあります。営業時間は、９時から１８時まで、休業日は不定期になっています。雨の日でも体験可能です。料金は１人３０００円が目安になるようです。スタッフから説明を受けてから、柄しぼり、テーチ木染め、泥染め、水洗いと工程をふんで体験します。所用時間は約３時間くらいが目安になります。染めたものはその日に持ち帰ることが出来ます。Tシャツやのれん、ハンカチ、トートバッグなどを泥染めすることができ、観光客にも人気です。旅の思い出に、奄美大島の貴重な泥染め体験もでき、さらに手作りの旅のお土産にもなり、奄美大島らしい体験施設になります。
