ハンミャ島とは

ハンミャ島はハミャ島ともよばれています。 現地の奄美の言葉で「間・狭間」を意味する「ハミャ」の言葉通りに請島と与路島の間にある小さな無人島It is.

美しい砂の丘が特徴で幻想的な光景が拡がり、日本ではなくエーゲ海に浮かぶ島にいるかのように錯覚させてくれます。

ただし、こちらの場所に訪れるにはなかなか難しいものがあります。 まずは直行便がないので古仁屋や伊子茂から水上タクシーを使うルートになりますが外海を使うルートですと町営船同様に波高で欠航になる可能性も高いです。

次に与路島で宿泊した先の宿泊施設と交渉して連れて行ってもらえることも運が良ければあります。 しかしこの場合も潮の流れで島にたどり着くのが困難な場合や岩場側からの上陸を余儀なくされる場合もあります。 現地の方でも潮の流れで船を寄せるのが困難な場合がありますので、無謀なチャレンジは避けるの吉でしょう。
