It was my first time trying weaving, but before I knew it, I was totally hooked lol. You get to pick the thread colors yourself, and being able to create your own original piece is seriously awesome! The sense of accomplishment when I finished was off the charts, so I even showed it off to my friends (lol).

The hatahori weaving experience on Amami Oshima was the perfect indoor activity. I greatly enjoyed the process of weaving my own unique cloth using Oshima silk threads.
