What is Daikanekuturus Park?
If you have not visited Amami Oshima for more than 15 years and pass by this area without prior knowledge, you will be surprised.
The shape of Tulsu Rock has changed, so you will definitely feel the power of nature! It is.
Tulus Rock took on this shape in 2006, when it collapsed due to weathering caused by seawater erosion, leaving a hole in the rock as it is now. The rock is now a hole in the ground, and it is more impressive to see it again after reading the inscription in Daikanekyu Tulsu Park.
Apart from that, the park has a rest area and restrooms for which we are very grateful. It takes about 10 minutes by car from the Yamato Village office to reach Daikanekyu.
Starting from in front of the Yamato Village Town Hall, it should take 45 minutes from Nase Port and 100 minutes from Amami Airport.
