Mateliya Falls - Amami-Oshima-. Located in Yamato Village on the west side of Amami Oshima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, this waterfall has long been famous as a sacred place. The narrow mountain path leading to the waterfall is surrounded by thickly growing trees, so it seems dimly lit even in the daytime.
