What is Miyakozaki National Monument?

National Monument Miyakozaki is a 20-25 minute walk from Kuninao Village in Yamato Village, about 30 minutes by car from Naze, using the promenade.
There are three parking lots, but use the one in front of Kuninao Beach or the parking lot at Kuninao Sunset Park.
The work road entrance parking lot can only accommodate a few cars.
It takes about 20 minutes to reach Miyakozaki.
As many of you may recognize, it is also the location for the historical drama Saigo-don.
It is also called Miyakozaki sasanto because of the clumps of ryegrass.
Simply put, it means a tower of bamboo grass.
It is not a beast trail, but it is a picture plane with a single path breaking through a carpet of bamboo grass, and this alone is an impressive sight.
From the cape's saki, you can see the entire East China Sea and be dazzled by the spectacular view.
In winter, it is possible to see cetaceans in the nearshore waters if the clouds are good.
