    This was my first visit to Amami Oshima. We enjoyed the mangrove forest by kayak and swam with sea turtles by snorkeling. The guide was very good at taking pictures with sea turtles and I was very impressed. The guide was very nice.

    I will never forget the excitement I felt when I saw a sea turtle right after I dove into the ocean. It was my first time to canoe, but the instructor was very attentive, and I felt like my adventurous spirit from when I was in my twenties had come back.

    Before we went, I was worried about the weather, but it was sunny and sometimes cloudy all day, especially during the canoeing. I was thrilled to see a turtle breathing right next to me on the sea turtle tour. The chicken rice ramen we were taken to for lunch at Torishin was also delicious. At first I wondered if I would be able to keep up with the mangrove canoeing in Kogo, but even I, who am in my 70s, was OK with it. It was a great memory of the trip.
