住用村木工工芸センターの風景

住用村木工工芸センターとは

住用村木工工芸センターは、職人さんが作った木工家具や木材製品を展示してあったり、奄美の木材を使って製作体験が出来る、観て体験して楽しめる施設になります。場所は、奄美空港から約１時間、国道５８号線で名瀬の市街地から瀬戸内方面にから２５分くらいのところにあります。

施設利用料金は、１人１時間４１０円になります。木工製作の場合、この他に材料費がかかります。

一般コースの場合３０００円から、本格コースの場合は１５０００円からになるようです。製作時間は３時間以上となっています。料金や時間は製作するものによって変わってきます。木材製作が初めての方もスタッフの方が教えてくれるので大丈夫です。

木工体験は、大型の木工機械を使うので、小さなお子さんや１０歳未満の方は体験することが出来ません。営業時間は９時から１７時、木工体験は前日までに予約が必要になります。
