What is Ayamaru Cape Tourist Park?
Cape Ayamaru Sightseeing Park is, as the name suggests, a park complex with a swimming pool and a grand golf course on the grounds around Cape Ayamaru. It is a sightseeing spot where you can overlook the beautiful and magnificent plum blossoms of Amami, which is one of the Amami 10, within a short distance of about 10 minutes by car from Amami Airport. The park's swimming pool is an underwater pool using the sea, and in summer, it is a place where you can enjoy swimming in the sea without being affected by the waves, even though it is in the sea. It is also well equipped with showers and other facilities, making it a great place to enjoy the Amami Sea. There is also a cycad trail with a subtropical atmosphere and the remains of shell middens from the Jomon and Yayoi periods have been discovered there.
