    I took part in a walking tour of the Kinzakuhara Primeval Forest on Amami Oshima. I appreciated that transportation was provided from the Naze area, which made it easy to participate without any travel hassles. The explanations from the certified guide were extremely interesting, and I was able to gain a deep understanding of the formation of this ancient forest—a World Heritage Site—as well as its flora and fauna.     The Kinzakuhara Primeval Forest is full of picture-perfect spots no matter where you look! I took so many stylish photos in the forest teeming with giant plants! I was also thrilled to capture videos of cute animals during the night tour! It did take the whole day, though, so I was a little tired—I recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. But if you want to create wonderful memories, you absolutely have to go!

    Since I don’t usually get much exercise, I was worried about whether I’d be able to keep up with the canoeing and the hike to the waterfall, but since we had the tour all to ourselves and the guide adjusted the pace to suit us, I was able to enjoy it without any strain.
