マングローブ茶屋は、奄美大島・住用村のマングローブ国定公園特別保護地区にあるお食事処It is.

奄美大島の海の幸を活かした定食を始め、鶏飯や季節メニューなど、様々なお食事が楽しめます。

マングローブはその名の樹木ではなく、熱帯や亜熱帯地域で主に干潟にあって潮の満ち引きによって水没する湿地に生育している植物のことを指しています。これらマングローブの根元付近には、希少な生態系が形作られており、1974年に奄美群島国定公園特別保護区とされました。

マングローブ茶屋では、先の飲食以外にも、これらの自然を見学・体験できる遊覧船やカヌー、展望台、原生林散策などのサービスがあります。

奄美空港から車で約1時間、市街地の名瀬からは車で約35分です。
