It was a truly fulfilling and enjoyable tour. We walked through a mysterious, dense forest and listened to explanations about the various sites, plants, and birds. Canoeing through the mangroves, surrounded by the sky, the river, and the trees, allowed me to lose track of time and truly unwind. You patiently answered all my questions, and I had a very relaxing time. I’d love to visit Amami again. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful guide.
Since there happened to be no other guests, it felt like a private tour just for the two of us—we visited the waterfall, saw the natural habitat of the Modama plant, and went canoeing. Along the way, we encountered all kinds of wildlife, and our guide explained each one to us, making for a really enjoyable time. Next time, I’d love to book another tour and bring the kids along!
I went alone, but the guide was very friendly and approachable, so I was able to enjoy the mangrove SUP tour without feeling self-conscious. Spending time “walking” on the water surrounded by nature felt like a real escape from the everyday and was very refreshing. However, I lost my balance and got a little wet, so it would have been perfect if they’d reminded me to bring a change of clothes.
I took part in the sunset canoe tour on the day I arrived in Amami. The view of the setting sun reflecting off the surface of the mangrove-lined river was absolutely beautiful, and I was able to enjoy a relaxing time. However, I was a little bothered by the bugs at dusk, so it would have been even better if there had been some information about insect repellent.
Since I joined the tour on the day I arrived, I was worried about whether I’d have enough energy, but the canoe trip moved at a leisurely pace, so I was able to enjoy it without any strain. I also managed to spot the Amami black rabbit during the night safari, and I’m absolutely thrilled to have been able to fully experience Amami’s nature right after arriving.
The nighttime jungle tour was seriously awesome lol. Walking through the pitch-black forest was super exciting, and the thrill when you spot a rare creature is off the charts lol. The guide was funny too, and you get to experience all of Amami's nightlife, so you should definitely go!
