It was great to see so much wildlife 🥰. We saw many black-crowned night herons, big mice, small mice, nocturnal birds, thin snakes! The guide explained everything in detail and we enjoyed it 🤩. I had no complaints about the tour, but I wished I had worn more clothes at night because it was colder than in the daytime and the wind was blowing hard. It was cold. 😅 The tour was good.
Three parents and their children joined us on 3/30. The schedule was attractive because we could join the tour as soon as we arrived because we were on a two-day/one-night bullet trip! The guide was a wonderful person who taught us a lot about Amami Oshima. It was raining and windy on the day of the tour, but the guide took care of the children and they were able to enjoy the tour without any problems. We were able to see the Amami rabbit, which we had longed to see! The excitement we felt when we found it was beyond our imagination. It was a precious experience that only a tour can provide, and it was the most memorable experience for us! I would like to use this tour again when I visit Amami Oshima.
We saw 11 Amami rabbit, Lidth's jay, Amami mountain snipe, Ryukyu pygmy owl, and even the rare Japanese pygmy owl! We were able to observe so many of Amami's endemic species. The guide was very kind and explained in detail about the nature of Amami, and it was a great time.
It was my first visit to Amami Oshima Island in several decades. The walk to Funangyo Falls, Modama, and the guide to the native habitat of Modama allowed us to feel the nature of Amami Oshima that we had never seen before, which was very meaningful. The mangrove canoeing was very relaxing and enjoyable thanks to the good weather. I think we were able to enjoy it even more because the guide was very attentive to our needs, and we enjoyed talking with him while he guided us. Thank you for the tea and the tangerine while we were in the mangrove canoe. It was the most delicious. Please guide us again.
