    金作原原生林 Kanasakubara Wilderness Forest - Amami-Oshima-. Kinsaku-genbaru Forest is one of the popular tourist spots on Amami Oshima Island. It takes about 40 minutes by car from Amami City Hall. Since it is difficult to access by public transportation, we recommend that you join a tour. Subtropical plants such as the giant fern Lizard Hego are native to the area, which is also home to the Amami rabbit, a special natural treasure, and the Kinobori lizard, a rare creature.

    癒しの空間 Mangrove primeval forest - Amami-Oshima-. Mangrove is a general term for plants that inhabit wetlands and tidal flats in tropical and subtropical regions. The mangroves in Sumiyoshi on Amami Oshima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, consist of mehirugi and ohirugi. Sumiyō is located at the estuary where the Yakusho River and Sumiyō River converge, and a primeval mangrove forest covering more than 71 hectares is spreading.
