    My first time on Amami Oshima, traveling alone. It was an unforgettable trip. You took me to all the places I wanted to visit and took me to the places you recommended.     I joined the tour alone. I had no plan but just wanted to see the ocean, but the guide showed me many wonderful sights. The guide showed me many wonderful sceneries. The guide took us to places that were not listed in the guidebooks, and more importantly, he was so experienced that he explained a lot of things to us.     I was able to participate in this plan as a solo male traveler and had a fascinating experience! The instruction was very detailed and easy even for a first timer. I was impressed to see 8 sea turtles and was surprised to know that they are really there! It was really a wonderful time to swim in the beautiful ocean while relaxing and watching the fishes.     We took the tour in mid-March. The captain was very focused on finding the whales, using a special machine to check their calls. Once we found the blows of the whales, we tracked them by boat and were able to see 5-6 whales. Moreover, the whales came close to the ship and came out right next to the ship, waving their tail fins and going back and forth under the ship many times. I was very happy. The captain even called it a "god experience. My 4-year-old son cried and wanted to go home, but my 7-year-old son stood at the bow of the boat and stared at the whales. It was an unforgettable memory for our family. After we arrived on land, we were happy to receive a video of the whales in the water taken by GoPro with Airdro! (It says "photo data" but it was video only. It is better to take a picture of each. I didn't get to take many pictures because my second son was too lazy, but I'll upload the ones my husband took). ) Also, since it is a smaller ship, it was very bumpy, so if you are even a little nervous, I recommend taking anti-sickness medicine! But unlike a cruise ship, we were able to feel the power of the whales up close because we were so close to the ocean. I would like to participate in the whale watch again next time.     Sea turtles, I could see them! 👏. I wondered if I would be able to find a sea turtle in such a big ocean, but I was so impressed that I was able to find one right away. They were so cute and sometimes came out of the water to breathe. It was easy to join the tour as long as you have a bathing suit and flip flops. I was very impressed with the way they were able to see the sea and the way they were able to breathe.
