    The most convenient way to access the central part of Amami Oshima is by rental car. You can freely move from the airport to the central area and natural spots.

    Be careful when driving, as there are some areas, such as mangrove forests in the central and southern part of Amami-Oshima, where GPS does not respond.

    There are waiting cars at the airport and port, and cabs are relatively easy to catch since Nase is the center of Amami Oshima.

    From mangrove canoeing to a nighttime forest exploration, it was a fulfilling tour that let us fully experience all of Amami’s natural beauty. We were also able to spot the Amami black rabbit, and the included transportation made the nighttime journey feel safe. I’m very satisfied.
